Obair Economic Society
I joined Obair in November 2019 and am currently working on my Career Practitioner Certification. Traveling to Fort St. John three days a week, I teach a class in two communities. An advocate for those who have less and those with multiple barriers. I work with clients in two current programs- Tomorrow's Work-Force Now and Elevation to Employment. In my new role as Program Manager, I will be introducing, planning, and instructing clients within the 'YES Program.'
My duties include:
I have been an active member of our community since I arrived in 1997. My spouse, Bruce Endicott, and I have five children and seven grandchildren. As a third term councilor, I have a continued passion for health care, education, and small business in our region. As a Past President for the NCLGA (North Central Local Gov’t Association), I recognize the similarities and differences of Rural BC and is a dedicated voice at all tables for the South Peace and North Central BC. I pride in my open-door outlook that hears all voices and always has time to listen to all members of our community. As the Love Dawson Creek Community Champion, I am not shy to let everyone know, ‘that it is the small business sector that is the foundational gem of our economic sustainability and growth.’ When not representing the citizens through the council table, I fill other duties as the Administrator for South Peace Soccer, District Representative for the Crescent Park PAC, President of the South Peace Health Services Society, Vocational Coach at the Obair Economic Society. As a Councillor, my duties include:
As a representative for the citizens of Northern BC, I am honored to be recognized as a Life Time Member of the NCLGA ( North Central Local Government Association)
I am humbled to be recognized through the designation given as a recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.
The benefits of volunteering are both rewarding for the community and for ones self. Small acts and service to others create positive ripples.
I love learning! Exploring and in-taking new information to me is a cherished reward of hard work and dedication.
